Many organisations create mission statements and long term business plans in order to direct their businesses to the delivery of strategic benefits. Managing Successful Programmes is an industry standard method for delivering these strategic benefits. Developed by the Office of Government Commerce (OGC), this method dovetails perfectly with the Prince2® method for Managing Successful Projects to create a portfolio of projects with the same strategic objective. It covers all aspects of managing a programme of projects, including the characteristics of Programmes, organisation, planning, management, dealing with change, risk and resource management.
